Metallic Epoxy for Showrooms, Basements & Retail Floors in Chicagoland

One-of-a-kind metallic movement, with custom samples before we pour.

Metallic epoxy floors are all about depth, dimension, and individuality. By suspending mica pigments directly within clear 100% solids epoxy, the material naturally flows and settles as it cures—creating a pearlescent, three-dimensional marble effect that cannot be mass-produced or perfectly duplicated.

To take the guesswork out of your design, A1 Concrete Coating Inc. pours custom physical samples for your Chicagoland space before installation day. This lets you preview the exact color blend, depth, and metallic movement in your own lighting—whether you’re outfitting a high-end commercial showroom, a bustling retail space, or a finished basement. From detailed surface preparation to the final high-gloss topcoat, our team delivers a flawless, one-of-a-kind surface built for heavy foot traffic and lasting visual impact.

Below are samples various metallic floors that we have installed for clients:

Before a concrete surface can be properly coated, it must be adequately prepared.  Our team grinds and scarifies your existing concrete surface.  This grinding or scarification not only removes any old dirt or adhesive materials that may remain on the old surface, it also results in a fresh abrasive surface which is allows the existing surface to bond to our epoxy and/or acrylic coating materials. Our surface preparation includes routing and filling cracks when they are present. We clean out cracks and fill with commercial quality crack filler. We mechanically grind the floor with a diamond grinder and follow with an acetone wipe with a dust mop to pick up any remaining dust.
